What a fantastic day yesterday for the launch of the Futures Southland campaign. Yesterday was a huge success with over 80 kids taking part in the day. There were loads of activities, sausage sizzle and great prizes. A massive thanks to Golf Southland (Simon and Linda with the help of Golf NZ), all our volunteers monitoring each activity and our wonderful BBQ chefs. What is Futures Southland?
Golf Southland and clubs around Southland have combined resources to provide affordable learn and play opportunities for all young people. The region has been split into three "Hubs" (players don't have to stay within their zone) which are the Central Hub which includes Drummond, Green Acres, Queen's Park, Invercargill & Riverton. Eastern Hub which includes Gore, Hedgehope, Mataura and Riversdale. Northern Zone which includes Dipton, Mossburn and Winton. This will allow all young people aged 5 -18 the opportunity to explore, learn and play at a number of golf clubs in their area.
What are the benefits of joining?
